US Air Force: Joint Base Anacostia-Bolling Rebrand

The Challenge: The JBAB Commander, Col Zuhlsdorf requested a new logo to revitalize the JBAB community around a new vision, new priorities and new mission.

The Process: I worked directly with Col Zuhlsdorf to develop logo mockups that captured his vision for imagery i.e. weapon systems, facilities, D.C skyline.

The Result:

  • Created a new logo and brand guide to ensure all the materials were used correctly.

  • I designed a flyer and tri-fold booklet which were professional printed and distributed to the JBAB community.


US Air Force: Installation Investment Strategy Logo Design + Communication Plan

The Challenge: Create a communication and brand strategy for the Installation Investment Strategy (I2S) in order to garner Congressional funding.

The Process:

  • Designed a logo and established a brand guide in order to unite all the products

  • Created a script based off the I2S document

  • Filmed the Honorable Secretary of the Air Force Heather Wilson via teleprompter

The Design Process:

  • Designed a logo and established a brand guide in order to unite all the products

  • Designed a printed tri-fold booklet and front-back pamphlet

  • Worked with vendors to mass print the products for distribution on The Hill


US Air Force: Traffic Management Logo Design

The Challenge: The US Air Force Traffic Management Career Field Managers requested a logo to give their career field a visual identity that represents their important duties.

The Process: I put together concepts that incorporated the many facets of the traffic management career field. including: planes, facilities, truck,

  • Juggled multiple viewpoints from career field managers and incorporated the following visual requirements: globe, forklift, plane, truck, facilities.

Result: The clients were extremely pleased with the final logo design and were eager to share the new branding with the field. The logo has been used on their Facebook page, placed on their official coin, and on moral t-shirts.


US Air Force: Unity of Effort Logo Design

The Challenge: The USAF client, General Slominski, requested a “Unity of Effort” logo which ties a series of construction projects on USAF Installations across the country. The logo will be printed on hard-hats and vests during site-visits to various construction sites.

The Process: I created a logo that incorporated the client’s vision: plane, facility, runway. I worked with vendors to ensure solid printing on the assets. The clients, including two 1-Star Generals, were extremely pleased with the final product.


Dept of Education: Brand Strategy for G6 Platform + Envisioning Workshop

The Challenge: The Dept of Education was seeking a brand identify for their new “G6” grants management platform. The current IBM Project Managers sought my design expertise to engage the clients in a workshop to sell the concept of adding branding, marketing and strategic communication to the scope of the a contract.

The Process: Hosted a 90 minute Virtual Design Envisioning Workshop (Feb 2022) with key stakeholders from the Dept of Education and G6 account. With 20 participants, I facilitated 3 activities that helped the clients reflect on the G5 brand and envision the future of G6.

Logo Design: I created 4 logo prototypes for the workshop to gather initial feedback.

The Result: The Dept of Education clients are energized at the initial logo concepts and have incorporated branding, marketing and strategic communication into the new contract.
